It’s not polite to stare! But I know you can’t help it. This Mid Century Modern Drum table is stunning. Can you believe this was a boring Brown? I just love the black and white and the chair complements the table beautifully. These two gorgeous pieces will be for sale in our booth we will have for the Vintage Shop Hop. We are located in the Urban Farm House 111 Erick St suite 124 Crystal Lake IL. You know you want these all you have to do is come by and pick them up. March 3&4 10-5.
We have finished the corner hutch and have taken it from outdated and boring to contemporary and charming. We used Gypsum by Pittsburgh paints for the exterior. We used Geyser by Pittsburgh paints for the shelves. I then distressed it lightly to give it a warm homey feeling. I added new hardware and that gives it a more up to date look. I just want to keep everything but alas I can’t. This charming corner cabinet is on sale now for $185.00
Finished working on these two little projects today. The child’s Rocking chair I did in a sweet light purple and added a floweral detail to the back and the seat. I just love refinishing children’s furniture and giving it a new home with a little child to love it. As far as this unique antique bin goes I decided to paint it in a creamy antique white and stencil it with a soft mellow coral to give it a lace effect. Both pieces are on sale now the rocking chair is $35.00 The antique bin is $30.00….Laurie
Well, it’s finally finished! In a delicate cream white Satin finish and a beautiful lettered fabric selected by the client, this bench will make a gorgeous piece in any home. It was fun to create this bench from a twin headboard and an old dilapidated chair. I may just try this again someday.
This bench is coming along very nicely. It is primed and ready for painting. I decided to create a curved seat to keep the look and feel of the rest of the bench. Fabric and paint color will be chosen by the client and I can’t wait to see what she picks. Stay tuned for the finished piece! …..Christy
We have been hard at work on this china hutch turning it from drab to country cute. This is a custom refinishing project for a client. She wanted a soft white color with distressing. Hard to see the distressing on the picture but it is distressed to look naturally occurring over time. The hutch is complete and I think it turned out perfect! The client loves it also. I had a lot of fun distressing it. Just the right amount of country charm. What do you think? ….. Laurie

The wood grain on this teak chair is beautiful.
This is an example of what we can do with a Mid Century Modern piece.
Christy is in the process of turning a cute twin size headboard into an adorable bench. She has taken a chair apart to use the chair legs as legs for the bench. She has made a template from the back of the headboard to create an accent board for the front of the bench. The paint color will selected by the client and tge seat will be upholstered in the client’s fabric choice. Check back to our blog posts to see the finished bench. I think it is already so charming who wouldn’t want this in their home. ….Laurie

The exterior will be a soft creamy white called Gypsum and the shelves will be a country aqua called Geyser by Pittsburgh paints. I will add some distressing to give it some vintage charm. We will be starting on it this weekend. I am excited to see this one completed…..Laurie
